Tap Dance
Tap dance was born in the United States during the 19th century and today is popular all around the world. The name comes from the tapping sound made when the small metal plates on the dancer’s shoes touch a hard floor. The result is lively, rhythmic tapping that makes the performer not just a dancer, but also a percussive musician.

Not only is tap dancing extremely popular (children love making a noise with their tap shoes in these lessons), it is also considered to be one of the three core dance techniques, along with Ballet and Modern Jazz.

ElliTe Studios will be following the Imperial Society of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus for tap dance classes. For more information please visit their website.
