Sam first began dancing at the age of five at a small dance school in Warwickshire and completed her training at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in London.
Whilst at college, as well as teaching many classes for younger students, Sam became one of the founding members of the Council for Dance Education’s student body. Sam has attained teaching qualifications in ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern, along with an Applied Anatomy qualification. Upon leaving college, Sam began working as Dance Captain for P&O Princess Cruise Lines and over a period of eight years progressed also to teaching and installing their shows on many vessels. During short return trips to the UK, Sam was guest teacher at many schools and colleges and also performed for several different pantomime companies.
In 2005, Sam returned to the UK permanently to pursue a career in dance teaching, and began by leading national jazz dance workshops and teaching at several schools and colleges. Over the past two years, Sam has held senior management positions, helped to develop professional dance courses and curriculums, and choreographed for many professional shows. Reviews of Sam’s choreographic pieces have appeared in magazines such as 'Dance Expression' and 'The Stage'.
