Stuart's dance training commenced at the prestigious Dance School of Scotland in Glasgow and was completed at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in London. As Head Boy at college, Stuart performed in professional pantomimes and, after three years, graduated to accept a position with Costa Cruise Lines. Transferring to P&O Princess Cruise Lines in 1996, Stuart went on to become Assistant Dance Captain and senior teacher. During his return visits to the UK, Stuart performed with 'Take That' at the Brit Awards, and in various professional pantomimes across the UK.

Stuart has recently enjoyed success as a freelance dance teacher, teaching jazz, musical theatre, tap, gymnastics and partnering at various location across the UK. He has choreographed routines for "Good Old Days" at Leeds City Varieties to great reviews in 'The Stage' newspaper, as well as for graduate showcases and shows. As a specialist boys' teacher, Stuart's classes are always popular.
