Management
The ElliTe Studios uniform is not compulsory for the first six weeks after starting classes. This is to allow a new starter to settle in and ensure that they wish to continue before any purchases are made. During this period P.E. kits, tracksuits, and other leotards are acceptable.
We do request, however, that after 6 weeks the correct uniform is worn for all classes. Your uniform needs to be purchased from the School to ensure that you are purchasing the correct dancewear. You will find that our prices are extremely reasonable are usually cheaper than high-street prices.

Musical Theatre, Acrobatics, Freestyle, Street Jazz, Jazz
- Black Jazz Pants
- Black or Green ElliTe Studios T-shirt. Any leotard can be worn underneath if desired, or requested by the teacher
- Black split sole jazz shoes (recommended, but not necessary)
Ballet (Tots, Primary and Grade 1)
- Blue Ballet Skirt
- Blue Wrap-over Cardigan (recommended, but not necessary)
- Pink Ballet shoes (with elastics sewn on)
- Pink Ballet socks
- Sky blue capped sleeve leotard
Ballet (Grade 2 – 6)
- Navy blue leotard and belt
- Pink Ballet shoes with elastics or ribbons
- Pink Ballet socks / Pink ballet tights for older pupils
- Please note: smaller children may continue in the sky blue capped sleeve leotards until they have outgrown them
Ballet (Major Grades)
- Black strappy leotard
- Pink Ballet shoes with elastics or ribbons
- Pink Ballet tights
- Pink Pointe shoes with ribbons
Modern (Tots, Primary and Grade 1)
- No shoes necessary, but black split sole jazz shoes can be worn in class if desired
- Pink catsuit
- Please note: Modern exams are performed in bare feet
Modern (Grade 2 and above)
- Blue catsuit
- No shoes necessary, but black split sole jazz shoes can be worn in class if desired
- Please note: smaller / younger children may continue in their pink catsuits until they have out-grown them
Tap (Tots, Primary and Grade 1)
- Black Jazz Pants (Optional)
- Black PVC or Canvas Tie Taps (no heel taps)
- Black socks
- Pink catsuit
Tap (Grade 2 and above)
- Black tap shoes with a low heel (no Cuban heels), with fitted teletone toe and heel taps
- Blue catsuit (same as for modern)
- Well-fitting black jazz pants, black socks
All uniform and shoes must be clearly marked with the pupil’s name, and dance shoes should not be worn outside.
All long hair must be tied back securely. Shorter hair should be secured back with a headband and held in place with hair-grips. All jewellery must be removed during classes.
* We regret that we are currently unable to provide dance shoes, and these will need to be purchased separately from a dancewear shop. Please speak to a member of the teaching staff for more information.
